The deal between the two countries
In major USD 3 billion defense deal that took place in New Delhi on Tuesday, India procured 24 MH-60 Romeo helicopters at a cost of USD 2.6 billion and acquired 6 AH-64E Apache helicopters for USD 800 million.
This deal was a major highlight of the Namaste Modi event.
Not only this, but the US also assured support in fighting with radical Islamist terrorism and strengthening the energy ties with India. They also pledged to assist in making the 5G technology safer.
The diplomatic deal also included an agreement between US firm Exxon Mobil & Indian Oil to help India in importing more Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG).
