 Importance of practicing Self Distancing/Quarantine

The novel Corona-Virus mainly spreads among people who come in close contact with each other i.e. within a 6 ft distance limit. When an infected person in close contact coughs, sneezes or even talks the liquid droplets from mouth or nose via air-land into the mouth, nose or eyes of a nearby person, which causes the chance of getting infected. The virus then gets inhaled into the lungs, which causes severe illness & even cause death. As per the recent studies, infected people with no symptoms can also play a key role in the spread of COVID-19.

Even touching the surface or object that has the virus on it can possibly cause the infection. It is simple to understand in public spaces or transports like metro stations, buses, malls, theatres colleges etc. many people gather and there are chances that some percentage of people who maybe got infected & touch the surfaces after coughing & sneezing. There is a high chance that you come into contact of the contaminated surface & get infected. Hence, social distancing & lock-down limit contact and bring good results in decreasing the number of infected people.

Even though the intensity level of illness depends person to person on immunity level and age but still we all have a personal responsibility to protect ourselves and slowing don the virus spread.
