Super Deluxe a film that includes the mixture of Thriller, Suspense with equal comedy released in 2019 & gathered applause from public, critics and in fact the whole film fraternity. This is a Tamil language movie directed by the National Award winner Thiagarajan Kumararaja, who also happens to be the film's co-producer & co-writer. It includes Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, Ramya Krishnan, Mirnalini Ravi, Vijay Ram, Abdul Jabbar, Noble K James, Naveen, and Jayanth in leading roles & Mysskin, Gayathrie, Ashwanth Ashok kumar, and Bagavathi Perumal in supporting roles. The cinematography section was handled by the P. S. Vinod and Nirav Shah, while Yuvan Shankar Raja gave music. Acclaimed directors like Nalan Kumarasamy, Neelan K. Sekar and Mysskin have contributed with their writing as the additional screenplay.

An Overview of the movie
The Super Deluxe movie has four parallel stories in it, which has been connected with one another through various social reasons & explanations that you find in the film.
There is one & same protagonist with an important role in each subplot.
(Story 1)The story starts with the Veambu (Samantha) & Mugil (Fahad Fasil) trying to hide out Veambu's ex-boyfriend's body, who died during sexual intercourse with the body. While getting rid of the body, a couple gets trapped by lustful & jerky Cop Berlin (Bhagavthy Perumal).
Then comes the story of five teens, Thuyavan (Abdul Jabbar), Soori (Naveen), Balaji (Gaji) (Vijay Ram), Vasanth (Noble) & Mohan (Jayanth). Boys plan to watch porn films at Thuyavan's home after skipping school. While watching it, Soori left in shock to know that the porn movie features his mother. In anger & aggression, he broke a television and ran towards home to kill his mother Leela (Ramaya Krishnan). Mohan follows him to console & avoid any misshaping.
(Story 2) On attempting to kill his mother Leela, he accidentally stabs himself with the screwdriver. Leela takes him to the hospital and struggles for the treatment due to financial constraints. Soori's accident is informed to his father Arputham (Mysskin), who happens to be the lone survivor from the tsunami and believed that God saved him in the form statue, which he worshiped & devoted himself to it. On one side Leela struggles for medical treatment and on another Arputham believes that with chants his god will save his son.
(Story 3) In fear of father, Thuyavan with his other 2 friends Balaji & Vasanth attempts to make money for buying new television to replace the damaged one. In the process of making money, they reach to the local don and failed while doing his assignment. Where they again plan to steal from Seth's home and find an Alien (Mirnalini Ravi)
(Story 4) Now, the story of Mother (Jyothi played by Gayathrie) & Son Raasukutty starts, where they expect the arrival of Manickam (Husband & Father) (Vijaysethupathi). After 5 yrs he returns as Shilpa (transgender) (Vijaysethupathi) that left everyone in shock except his son. Raasukutty takes his transgender father to his school to make him meet his friend there. While this journey with his son, Shilpa faced social criticism for his appearance, got sexually abused (raped) by Berlin at the police station and while coming back to home after all he lost his son in a congested locality while having Pan/Beeda (leaves of the beetle plant with tobacco).

About the Director
This is Thiagarajan Kumararaja's second movie. As a director, he debuted in the film industry in 2011 with his project Aaranya Kaandam. It was critically acclaimed by various experts also made him win various awards including the 59th National Award for the best direction. After 9 years, he brought Super Deluxe, which also appreciated by various film experts and brought awards to him as well.
